Having started his career on October 2014 at age 18, Sakae shows no signs of slowing down as he continues his rise as a pro. Setting up his pro career well and building his confidence in the pro ring, Sakae became the 4th person to take Takayuki Teraji the distance and claimed a SD debut win. Sakae's win streak continued to amass with 5 wins against fighters such as Naoki Shoda, Takayuki Teraji and Naoya Haruguchi.
Sakae then went on to fight and beat Naoya Haruguchi on June 23rd, 2013 maintaining his unbeaten record. Fights against Kenta Shimizu, Surot Sithsaithong and Yoshinori Wakahara followed where he won all 3 fights taking his winning streak to 8 wins.
Next was Boy Tanto on July 6th, 2014 where Sakae took the win continuing his unbeaten streak. Sakae's UD win against Boy Tanto came via judges decision of a 8 round fight. Sakae became the 15th person to defeat Tanto and secured a great win.
Takumi Sakae went into his latest fight with Thephasuthin Chaiyonggym on October 26th, 2014 with 9 wins and he continued this winning streak taking it to 10 wins. It didn't take long for Sakae to work Chaiyonggym out in his most recent fight. With a stoppage in the 3rd round, Takumi Sakae became the first fighter to stop Chaiyonggym via KO and moves on to bigger things.
