Born September 23rd 1975 Franklin Lawrence (aged 48) has built up a good career record of 21-3-2. Lawrence went into his next career fight with a record of 13-2-2 and took this to 14 wins with a win against Jason Estrada on January 29th, 2011. Lawrence was the first person to stop Jason Estrada and he did it in the 9th round via TKO.
On May 27th, 2011, Lawrence went into action again and beat Jason Gavern taking the winning record to 15 wins. Gavern was stopped in the 7th round via RTD meaning Lawrence was the 2nd person to stop this opponent. 2 wins followed taking Lawrence's winning streak to 17 wins.
On September 8th, 2012, Lawrence went into action again and beat Homero Fonseca taking the winning record to 18 wins. Lawrence's fight against Homero Fonseca came in the 7th round of a 8 round fight via RTD. Lawrence became the first person to stop Fonseca. 2 wins followed taking Lawrence's winning streak to 20 wins.
Lawrence went into his next career fight with a record of 20-2-2 and took this to 21 wins with a win against Grover Young on March 12th, 2016. The 6 round fight ended in the 4th round via TKO crowning Lawrence as only the 5th to stop Young.
Taking another knock in his career, Lawrence fought Andy Ruiz jr on September 10th, 2016 and was defeated by Ruiz jr. A blow for Lawrence confidence, Lawrence was taken the full distance by Ruiz jr and was handed a UD loss on the judges decision. A tough technical fight that leaves Lawrence unsure on where his career will head next.
